Abstract:

Increasing competition and rapidly changing environmental conditions make the application of different leadership styles in necessary. One of these styles of leadership is serving leadership. Serviced leadership is a approach that focuses on strengthening staff and has many behavioral characteristics such as empathy, listening and understanding, awareness creation, not entering expectations, prediction, and persuasion. In companies with management practices with serviced leadership understanding, the strengthening of staff is more successful. Therefore, this research is aimed at determining the impact of service leadership perception towards managers in the retail sector on the strengthening of staff. The study is empirical research. The survey was implemented to 6 different large chain operations that operate in the retail sector of Konya or which have a branch in more than one city. The data analysis was based on the current survey obtained from 115 employees identified by a simple random method. The result of data analysis using the road analysis technique has been found that service leadership has a positive impact on staff strengthening (β=0.87; p <0.01). According to this conclusion, it can be said that the perception of servant leadership in is effective in strengthening staff.
