The aim of this study is to determine the ratio of usage of family planning methods between the 15-49 aged women who applied to Gaziantep İstasyon Family Health Center between December 2011 and May 2012. Face to face interviews were applied to these women. 74.3% of married 15-49 aged women were using family planning methods. Also 50.5% of them were using modern (effective) methods. Most preferred effective methods were condom and intrauterine device. Reasons for not using family planning methods were given as pregnancy, wish of having pregnancy and nursing. As a result, the ratio of usage of family planning methods in 15-49 aged married women who applied to Gaziantep İstasyon Family Health Center is high. Also the ratio of usage of effective (modern) methods is high. These results may be due to the central and easily accessible location of the family health center and the success of health personnel in giving the family planning services
