Turks have begun to use the Arabic alphabet by the acceptance of Islam. Having different types of lines and visuality being at the forefront, while this alphabet has become widespread in the fields of art such as marbling, tiling decoration sometimes it has also been used by its formal properties rather than the sound it expresses in literature. The letters of the alphabet have been planned as the referred of the elements of beauty such as the lover’s eyebrow, mouth etc. And have been the source of inspire to especially Hurufi poems. Classical Turkish Literature poet, have always been in search of unusual. Written by numbering the letters and penned by the system called “ebced account” history poems being in the first place, we come across various savings muamma, lügaz and müşeccer. One of the poets, succeeding in capturing what is different by changing his approach to alphabet is Hafız Ahmet Paşa. Being hafız while yet in childhood and being granted as grand vizier twice Hafız Ahmet Paşa is Divan poets of the sixteenth century. An unusual spelling is seen in the three of the fifty-six odes in his divan which is his single work. In this article three odes in question will be resolved in terms of their spelling features by a brief reference to the life of Hafiz Pasha.
