Abstract:

Our age is called the "digital age" and the digital age makes the transformation compulsory for companies. While companies that can carry out digital transformation continue to survive and succeed, companies that cannot carry out this transformation are sentenced to disappear. In this study, David Rogers' work, "The rules of the game in the digital transformation", was studied to make book criticism from a management and organizational point of view. In his work, the steps that companies that want to succeed in the digital age must take in their adaptation processes are classified as the 5 strategic fields of digital transformation. These 5 fields are defined as “customers, competition, data, innovation and value” and a road map for who want to transformation by detailing each title. The author used the language quite effectively and signed a fairly smooth narrative using an informal language. This work has a futuristic approach, which contains very useful information not only for the digital age we are in, but also for the future periods. In the framework of the work, the entry section; what the writer intends to create the work, the biography of the writer, the other works he has gained to the field, the topics discussed in the book belong to which field and period, the characteristics of the work in the language and narrative direction. In the analysis and evaluation section, the book’s sections are evaluated in connection with the promotion and management and organizational perspective. In the result and discussion section, the main topic that the work is presented in general has been discussed and assessed how it is in relation to the theory and approaches of management.

In the analysis and evaluation section, the sections of the book were introduced and evaluated in connection with the perspective of management and organization. In the conclusion and discussion section; The main theme of the work was handled in general and it was evaluated how it relates to management theories and approaches.
