Abstract:

Education is an instrument that affects the state and movement of individuals from birth to death and positively affects their value in social life. The most important guidance resources in the formation of education are the teaching programs. In 2018, the Social Information Teaching Program was published in a targeted, simple and comprehensible structure of value and skills, taking into account individual differences. The teaching programmes are prepared on the basis of the "General Goals of Turkish National Education" and the "Basic Principles of Turkish National Education" expressed in Article 2 of the National Education Basic Act No. 1739. When we look at the Turkish history, we see that a total of 22 programs were implemented from 1913 to 2018. Published this program: taking into account individual differences, value and skills gain is in a targeted, simple and understandable structure. The aim of this study is to evaluate the books "Civil Information for Citizens" in the framework of the values included in the 2018 Social Information curriculum. This is why the work is done with research traditions. The work is illustrated and examined on the circumstances that exist. The document examination method used in the analysis of written sources as a method of quality data collection was used and the data was tried to be analyzed through text analysis. In the study by Ayşe Afet İnan, with the book "Civil Information for Citizens Skin 1" and the book "Civil Information for Citizens Skin 2" by Kütahya mebusu Recep Peker, published in 2018 and implemented Social Information curriculum and 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th class lessons were tried to study. The first edition of the Civil Information Book for Citizens, which is studied as a source, defines the concepts of the nation, state and republic and focuses on the rights of citizenship. The second edition describes the functioning of the state organization structure of the Republic of Turkey, the rights and duties of citizens within this organization, how they will use their rights and how they will fulfill their duties. It is believed that both the social information curriculum and the curriculum books and the citizens' information books are at a sufficient level in the transfer of value. In terms of value transfer subjects, the social information program and the subject content included in the curriculum and the citizen's civil information books can be said that the value transfer subjects are matched.
