Bir dini doğru anlamak o dinin ilahi esin olarak kabul ettiği metni ve metin içinde dinin kurucusu olarak takdim edilen şahsın nasıl betimlendiğini anlamakla doğrudan ilişkilidir. Araştırma konusu edilen dinin teolojik nosyonunun anlaşılması, dinin temel metninin tahlili ve doğru anlaşılması ile mümkündür. Ancak söz konusu Hristiyanlık dini olduğunda, tek bir referanstan, tek bir ilahi kitaptan ve tek bir algıdan söz edilemez. Dolayısıyla dinin merkez figürü olan İsa’nın, kristolojik açıdan konumlandırıldığı yer ve bu yerin dini düşünce içerisinde mensupları tarafından nasıl algılandığı önemlidir. Bu bağlamda öğretinin ana mesajının anlaşılması için en azından kanonik kabul edilen İncillerin ayrı ayrı incelenmesi ve bu şekilde İsa’nın kristolojideki yerinin tespit edilmesi icap eder. Bilindiği gibi tarihsel İsa araştırmaları çerçevesinde, İsa’nın dindeki konumunu betimleyen pek çok kristolojik model ile ortaya konmuştur. Biz bu çalışmada modern Hristiyan teoloğu John Macquarrie tarafından ortaya konan anabatik ve katabatik kristoloji sınıflandırmasını ve buna bağlı olarak tüm Hristiyanların Tanrı esini olarak kabul ettiği kendi kutsal kitaplarının bir kısmını oluşturan Matta, Markos, Luka ve Yuhanna İncillerinin sunmuş olduğu İsa portresini irdelemeyi hedefliyoruz. Bu çerçevede İncillerin kristolojik yaklaşımını anabatik ve katabatik sınıflandırması üzerinden tespit ederek, bu dört İncil’in İsa’yı Hristiyan kristolojisinin neresine yerleştirmiş olduklarını belirlemek, bu bağlamda Hristiyanlığın İncillere dayalı olarak İsa algısı ve mesajının ne olduğunu kristolojik açıdan farklılıklarını tespit etmek amaçlanmaktadır.
Understanding a religion correctly is directly related to understanding the text that religion accepts as divine inspiration and how the person presented as the founder of the religion is depicted in the text. Understanding the theological notion of the religion that is the subject of the research is possible by analyzing and correctly understanding the basic text of religion. However, when it comes to the religion of Christianity, there cannot be a single reference, a single divine book or a single perception. Therefore, the place where Jesus, who is the central figure of the religion, is positioned from a cristological point of view and how its members perceive this place in religious thought is essential. In this context, in order to understand the main message of the teaching, many christological models have been put forward within the framework of historical Jesus research, which were put forward to at least examine the gospels separately, which are considered canonical, and thus to determine the place of Jesus in christology. In this study, we aim to examine the classification of anabatic and katabatic christology put forward by the modern Christian theologian John Macquarrie and, accordingly, the portrait of Jesus revealed by the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, which constitute a part of their own holy books that all Christians accept as inspired by God. In this context, by determining the christological approach of the gospels through the classification of anabatic and katabatic, to reveal how these four Gospels describe Jesus, where they placed him in Christian christology, in this context, to reveal the differences in the Christological perception and message of Christianity based on the Gospels is intended.
