Introduction and Purpose: This study aims to identify the knowledge, attitudes and practices of nurses regarding the use of physical restrictions Methods and Requirements: This study in the identificative type was conducted between February and March 2015. The study consisted of 129 nurses and 82 nurses. To collect data, the Nursing Identification Form and the Information Level, Attitudes and Applications of Nurses in Relations to Physical Detections were used. In the statistical assessment of the data, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskall Wallis and Pearson Correlation test were used. The average age of nurses is 28.12±5.35. The average scores that nurses receive from the scale Information Level, Attitudes and Applications on Physical Detections are 78.78±6.76, 9.09±1.16, 32.39±4.93, and 37.29±3.86 for the scale's total score. There is a correlation between the age and the level of knowledge and attitude of the nurses in a negative direction (respectively; p=0.013, p=0.476), and the level of application in a positive direction (p=0.919). There is no meaningful relationship between the department in which the nurses work, the levels of education, the state of obtaining information about physical restrictions and the knowledge, attitudes and practices of physical restrictions. RELATED AND RESULTATED: The findings from the research have found that nurses have high knowledge about physical restrictions and their attitudes and practices are positive.
