Heritage of today is the result of accumulated historical development. Urban histories bring urban heritage out and assist researcher to comprehend cultural values in their unique and true existence. Urban historians conduct their researches through several references. Travelbook, which is one of those references, on one hand reveals the city to sustain the existence of culture and on the other hand embodies tourism movements as an utmost important reference for travel history. This study analyses three travelbooks written on Bursa to interpret cultural heritage of today in order to help generating new consciousness for urban tourism. Moreover, it is another aim of this study to diversify both urban management and industrial management tools for tourism product development. This paper underlines possible contributions of Ottoman urban history studies into tourism practices and tourism research by interdisciplinary approach.
