Amaç: Bu araştırmada 112 acil sağlık hizmetleri çalışanlarına yönelik şiddet ve ilişkili faktörlerin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Ocak-Nisan 2023 tarihleri arasında yürütülen bu çalışma kesitsel tiptedir. Bu çalışma 112 acil sağlık hizmetlerinde çalışan 275 kişi ile yapılmış olup, çalışmanın yapılması için gerekli kurum izni ve etik kurul onayı alınmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri hazırlanan anket formu ile Google Docs aracılığıyla online olarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Ki-Kare testi kullanılmıştır. Değerlendirme yapılırken p<0.05 anlamlı olarak kabul edilmiştir. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan 112 acil sağlık çalışanlarının %88.0’i herhangi bir şiddete maruz kaldığını, bu şiddetin %90.9’unun sözel şiddet, %45.5’inin fiziksel şiddet olduğunu belirtmiştir. Şiddetin yaşandığı yer en sık vaka adresi (%63.6) ve ambulans (%59.1) olduğu görülmüştür. Erkeklerin %93.8’i, kadınların %77.8’i 112 acil biriminde döneminde şiddet yaşamış olup erkeklerin şiddet yaşamı oranı kadınlara göre anlamlı olarak daha yüksektir (p=0.001). İş yerinde şiddeti bildirmeye yönelik herhangi bir uygulama olduğunu ifade eden, idarecilerin şiddet olayını ele alma durumundan memnun olan ve kanunlarla korunduğunu düşünen sağlık çalışanlarının anlamlı olarak daha düşük oranda şiddet yaşadığı görülmüştür (p<0.05). Sonuçlar ve Öneriler: Çalışma grubunda şiddet yaşama oranı yüksektir. Yaşanılan şiddetin neredeyse tamamında sözel şiddet yarısında da fiziksel şiddet olup vaka adresi en sık şiddet yaşanan yer olmuştur. 112 çalışanlarının yaşadığı şiddetin sık olması ve fiziksel ve psikolojik etkisi nedeniyle bu durumu azaltmak için ilgili kurumlar gerekli önlemleri almalıdır.
Aim: This research intends to analyze the violence perpetrated against the healthcare professionals working at the 112 Emergency Health Department and the related factors. Method: This is a cross-sectional research conducted between January and April 2023, in which 275 healthcare professionals working at the 112 Emergency Health Department participated. In addition to the approval of the Ethics Committee, the required permission in order to do this research was taken from the agencies the staff work for. The data of the study has been collected through a questionnaire conducted over Google Docs. The chi square test is used to analyze the data. The value p<0.05 is considered to be significant when the data is assessed. Results: 88.0% of the healthcare professionals participated in this research stated that they were subjected to any type of violence. 90.9% of this was verbal violence while 45.5% was physical one, they said. The violence turned to mostly is the address where the medical case emerges (63.6%), and secondly inside an ambulance (59.1%). The 93.8 of men were exposed to the violence while 77.8% of women suffered from it when they were working at the 112 Emergency Health Department. The violence perpetrated against the male staff is significantly higher than the violence against the female professionals (p=0.001). It is found out that the health professionals who stated that there was an enforcement to report the violence in the workplace, they were satisfied with the handling of violence by the administrators and the legislation protected them against it were subjected to the violence significantly in less rate (p<0.05). Conclusions and Suggestions: The rate of violence the participants of this study exposed to is high. The half of the violence ensued is almost verbal while the rest is physical one. The address of incidence is mostly where the medical case occurs. The concerned authorities must take the required measures in order to decrease the violence against the healthcare professionals of 112 Emergency Health Department as the violence against them is frequent, and they suffer physically and psychologically after it occurs.
