Lyme borreliosis is a worldwide tick-borne multisystemic infectious disease caused by Borrelia burgdorferi species. Although Lyme borreliosis is considered as the most common arthropod-transmitted disease in Europe and United States, the number of documented cases is clearly low in Turkey. Lyme disease is divided into three stages according to clinical manifestations. While the third stage represents the chronic phase of the infection, first and second stages are regarded as the early disease. The first stage, early localized Lyme disease, is distinctly characterized by erythema chronicum migrans, which typically occurs at the site of tick bite. Erythema chronicum migrans is a type of figurate erythema, which has a typical clinical presentation with remarkably expanding erythema with partial central clearing. Here, we describe two cases of Lyme disease presenting with characteristic findings of erythema chronicum migrans that was diagnosed according to the clinical and serological findings.
