Özet:

The purpose of this research was to investigated the effects of H2 receptor blockers and omeprazoleon hepatic regeneration after partial hepatectomy, Following % 60 hepatectomy, the rats were divided into 12 groups. Saline solution (control) was injected l.,2. and 3. groups, ranitidine was injected 4.,5. and 6. groups, famotidine was injected 7.,8. and 9. groups and omeprazole was injected 10., 11. and 12. groups intramuscularly after operation and once daily during study. The rats into l.,4., 7. and 10. were sacrificed after one day. The rats into 2.,5., 8. and 11. were sacrificed after3 days. The rats into 3.,6.,9. and 12. were sacrificed after 5 days. The liver remnants were respected for histopathologic examination. Venous blood samples were taken for the study of SGOT and SGPT. Liver regeneration was evaluated with mitotic index, double nucleus and hyper chromatic nucleus. Ronitidine and omeprazole were significantly decreased liver regeneration. Liver regeneration was not found differently into famotidine groups when compared with the control groups. The transaminases were not found differently into groups. We conclude that famotidine does not Inhibit liver regeneration after partial hepatectomy. Famotidine may be used safely the patients with hepatic diseases for prevention or treating of gastrointestinal bleeding.
