Recently, as a result of the rapid increase in the use of esthetic stainless steel, especially in the industry, the source combination of such steels has become more important. Stainless steel can be easily extinguished by sub-gas source methods such as Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) and Metal Inert Gas (MIG). In the combination of stainless steel with a thin cut, especially the TIG source is the most suitable method and is widely used. In this study, the impact of the protective gases used in the combination of esthetic stainless steel with subgas source methods on the microbuilding and mechanical characteristics of combined stainless steel parts, was studied in the light of literary information. The hydrogen (H2), carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen (N2) gases mixed in the argon (Ar) gas used as a protective gas have a significant impact on its mechanical properties due to the microbuilding of the source metal.
