Halk arasında hastalıklar ile mücadelede bitkisel kaynaklar yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Hastalık etkeni mikroorganizmaların günümüz antibiyotiklerine karşı giderek artan dirençleri alternatif ajanların araştırılması adına itici güç olmuştur. Bu çalışmada dünya genelinde yaygın olarak kullanılan ve herhangi bir yan etkisinin olmadığı bilinen Solanum melongena Patlıcan bitkisinin kurutulmuş meyvelerinin su ve etanol ekstraktlarının bazı gram pozitif ve gram negatif bakteriler ile mantarlar üzerine antimikrobiyal aktiviteleri test edilmiştir. Çalışma oyuk agar metodu ile gerçekleştirilmiştir ve araştırmada etanolün antimikrobiyal ajanların ekstraksiyonunda daha etkin olduğu görülmüştür. %3’lük NaCl ilavesi ise antimikrobiyal etkiyi kısmen daha da arttırmıştır. Test edilen mantarlarda ise Tyromyces palustris hariç diğerlerinde inhibisyon gözlenmemiştir. Bakterilerden ise maksimum inhibisyon gösteren Enterobacter aerogenes ve Pseudomonas aeruginosa olduğu tespit edilmiştir
Plant resources are widely used in the fight against diseases among the people. The increasing resistance of the disease-factor microorganisms to today’s antibiotics has been a driving force in the name of the research of alternative agents. This study has been widely used worldwide and has known that there is no side effects, and it has been tested antimicrobial activity on the fungi with some gram positive and gram negative bacteria of the water and ethanol extract of the dried fruits of the Solanum melongena plant. The study was carried out using the agar method, and the study found that ethanol was more effective in the extraction of antimicrobial agents. The 3% NaCl supplement has partially increased the antimicrobial effect. In the tested fungi, inhibitors other than Tyromyces palustris were not observed. The bacteria are enterobacter aerogenes and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
