Abstract:

This study aims to study the texts and activities in the secondary school Turkish curricula in the context of the competencies included in the Turkish curriculum. In the research methods of quality research methods of document examination was used. The data source of the research is the Turkish curriculum books taught in the high schools associated with the Ministry of Education by 2020. Imaginary analysis method is used in the analysis of data. The works discussed in the study were studied according to the 8 key competencies created by the Turkish Qualifications Framework and included in the Turkish lesson curriculum. The validity and reliability of the findings obtained is secured by direct quotes and different expert opinions. The findings from the research found that competencies occur through more activities at all class levels than text. In addition, it has not been found that a balanced distribution between the competencies contained in the books has occurred. In general, communication skills in the main language, social and citizenship skills, learning skills, cultural awareness and expression skills are in the forefront at the level of text and activity, while digital skills, initiative / entrepreneurial skills and communication skills in foreign languages have been at least a number of places.
