Abstract:

The beginning of Arab literary of modern times starts with the occupation of Egypt by French soldiers (1798-1801). The impression left by the French occupation, which lasted for about three years, on the social, political and cultural structure of Egypt is profound. In the period following this occupation, Egypt went through many major political events. These events can be classified as occupation, occupation attempts, revolutions, and the politics of local governments. Consequently, modern Egyptian man of letters and poets did not hesitate to make the complex and dynamic politics they lived through into their poems. No political events in the Islamic world take place independently from another Muslim country, and these events affect each other. Almost all of the political developments in Egypt realize in a similar manner in Turkey and other Islamic countries. Therefore, learning how these events developed, how they were defended and how to protect the country against these incidents requires getting to identify the poets who have taken this kind of poetry as the theme of their poems and examining their poems.
