Abstract:

Hoca Ahmed Yesevî, who influenced Turkmenistan’s geography and the Turkish Islamic world with his ideas, is considered one of the important tasavvuf leaders. The influence of the wisdom of Hoca Ahmed Yesevî in the spread and settlement of Islam and Islamic morality among the Turks is great. Divan-i Hikmet is considered one of the oldest and most important works of religious tasavvufi Turkish literature after Kutadgu Bilig. In this study, the work of Hoca Ahmed Yesevî’s Divan-i Hikmet is intended to be studied in terms of values education. In the research adopted by the analytical research method, the data collected through the document review was analyzed using the imaging and content analysis technique. The data source of the study consists of 144 wisdom and 1 wisdom found in the work of Hoca Ahmed Yesevi's Divan-i Hikmet, which was tagged by Bice (2015). In determining the values to be reviewed, a "Value Review Form" was prepared on the basis of the 22 values aimed to be awarded to students in the National Education Ministry's Social Information Teaching Programs (2005-2018). In the form of the prepared form, the Divan-i Wisdom has determined the values of the content of the expression and is gathered under common themes. The results of the research have been collected under the themes: justice, importance for family unity, scientificity, solidarity, honesty, tolerance, freedom, love, cleansing, patriotism and utility. The most emphasized values in the specific topics are honesty, compassion and scientificity, while the less emphasized values are in the form of tolerance and purity. In short, Hoca Ahmed Yesevî’s work called Divan-i Hikmet is seen as an important work that needs to be applied in the education of values by many disciplines, including the Social Knowledge course.Anahtar Words: Values, Education, Divan-i Hikmet, Hoca Ahmed Yesevî.
