Okul Öncesi Eğitimin Niteliğine Bir Bakış: Aileler, Öğretmenler ve Çalışma Koşulları ile İlgili Sorunlar

Bu araştırma okul öncesi eğitimde yapısal özelliklerin ve eğitim sürecinin niteliği ile ilgili sorunları nitel verilere dayalı olarak ortaya koymaya çalışmaktadır. Çalışma Ankara’daki bağımsız devlet anaokullarında yürütülmüştür. Bu olgubilim (fenomenoloji) araştırmasında maksimum çeşitleme örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilmiş yedi kadın okul öncesi öğretmeni ile yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ayrıca, görüşme bulgularının desteklenmesi amacıyla bu öğretmenlerin sınıfı bir okul günü boyunca gözlemlenmiştir. Verilerin analizinde içerik analizi yöntemine başvurulmuştur. Bulgular genel olarak okul öncesi eğitimde yapısal özellikler ve eğitim süreci ile ilgili çeşitli sorunlar olduğunu göstermektedir. Yapısal özelliklerin niteliği boyutunda, başlıca sorunların aile, öğretmen ve çalışma koşulları kaynaklı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Eğitim sürecinin niteliği boyutunda, sorunların planlama, öğrenme /öğretme süreci ve sınıf yönetimi ile ilgili olduğu bulunmuştur. Okul öncesi eğitimde niteliğin geliştirilmesi için çalışma koşullarının iyileştirilmesi, ailelerin okul öncesi eğitim hakkında bilinçlendirilmeleri ve öğretmen yeterliklerinin geliştirilmesi gerekli görülmektedir.

and self. This research tries to reveal problems related to the structure characteristics and the nature of the educational process in pre-school education based on quality data. The study was carried out in the independent state kindergartens in Ankara. In this phenomenology (fenomenology) study, semi-configured conversations were conducted with seven women pre-school teachers selected with the maximum diversity sample method. In addition, the class of these teachers was observed throughout a school day in order to support the findings of the interview. In the analysis of data, the content analysis method was applied. The findings generally show that pre-school education has a variety of structural characteristics and problems related to the educational process. In the size of the characteristics of structural characteristics, the main problems have been found to be caused by the family, teacher and working conditions. The size of the training process has been found that the problems are related to planning, learning / teaching process and class management. It is necessary to improve working conditions in the quality of pre-school education, awareness of the families about pre-school education and the development of teaching skills.

The present study attempts to reveal the problems related to the quality of early childhood education (ECE) regarding structural features and educational process based on qualitative data. The study was conducted in public pre-primary schools in Ankara. Seven female early childhood teachers selected through maximum variation sampling method were interviewed in this phenomenological research. These teachers’ classrooms were also observed during one school day to support interview findings. Content analysis was applied in data analysis. Results overall show that there are various problems related to the quality of ECE considering structural features and educational process. In the domain of structural quality, problems are mainly related to families, teachers, and working conditions. In domain of educational process quality, problems manily pertain to planning, learning / teaching process, and classroom management. For qulaity improvement in ECE, it is necessary to enhance working conditions, raise the consciousness of families about ECE, and develop teacher qualifications.
