Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the postgraduate theses on refugees / refugees in the field of education in Turkey. In this context, the YÖKTEZ national thesis database has been studied from various aspects of the 73 postgraduate thesis written about refugees/asylumers under the subject of education. This research was carried out by the quality research method, data was collected by the document examination technique. The sampling of the research is determined by the standard sampling, which is one of the target sampling methods. A thesis examination form is developed by the researcher in accordance with the purpose of the study to study the dissertation. In the analysis of the data, the visual analysis method was applied and shapes and graphics were used in the display of the data. The research has shown that in recent years there has been a significant increase in the texts written about refugees and that the texts written are often the master’s texts. In the theses, the working group is often children and teachers, usually working with small samples, in the theses the method of qualification is mainly used, and as a measurement tool, the conversation forms are mostly used. The theses have also been written as a subject in the context of problems often seen in the education of refugees, language development, psychosocial development and multiculturality.
