Abstract:

After the Covid-19 epidemic that affects the whole world, faces-to-face training in classrooms was carried out via the internet and television. The experimentation, which is an integral part of science courses, is a point in which we see how it is performed in the distance learning process. This study is aimed at exploring the teachers' opinions aimed at experimenting in the course of science in the distance learning process. The study was conducted with 34 teachers of science. Four open end questions developed by researchers were addressed to teachers to investigate their views on experimenting in the distance learning process. Analysis of the data obtained has been done. In the results obtained, teachers in the distance learning process noted that it was difficult to do the experiment due to material and technical shortcomings, that students were low motivated and that they were insufficient in making students active. They also pointed out that some experiments are safer to be performed and that visuality attracts students' interest. As long as distance learning continues, studies should be carried out where the model recommendations on the conduct of experiments, which are an integral part of the courses of science, are developed.
