Kawasaki disease KD is an acute, systemic, febrile disease which is mostly encountered in children under age of 5. Although the underlying etiology is not fully known, the pre- sence of an infectious agent in patients with genetic predispo- sition is often blamed. Clinical findings consistent with infec- tious diseases and high incidence during particular seasons on particular geographical regions reinforce the possibility of infectious agent. Numerous infectious agents including Parvovirus B19, Epstein-Barr Virus EBV , Cytomegalovirus CMV and Mycoplasma are the most common infectious agents related with KD.
