The XVI. The century was a century where Habsburg and the Ottoman Empires met intensely to acquire new influence areas and to preserve existing influence areas. The Ottoman-Habsburg wars, which focused on Hungary on the ground, took its place in history in the form of the Ottoman-Habsburg struggle with the connection of the Spanish Empire to the Habsburg dynasty by Charles V in the sea. During this period, one of the major struggle lines between the Ottoman and the Spanish in the Mediterranean was Algeria, Tunisia and the surrounding islands. By protecting the talented pirates and by overcoming the logistical difficulties thanks to the French alliance, the Ottomans, who soon settled in this region, often targeted their Spanish lands to consolidate their assets. Especially due to the location of the Balearic Islands in Spain, it was the target of uninterrupted attacks during this period. The only one of these attacks, but the destruction he created and therefore the great attack he held in the social memory, was the movement of the Ottoman to the city of Ciutadella, located in the north-west coast of the Minorka Island. While the incident was not to be removed in the memory of the defeated island people, it was a sign that it had reached an important stage in the way to the 1560 Cerbe War. In this study, even today, the development of the Ottoman attack will be examined, which is regularly mentioned every year on the island and which causes the time to be called the 'year of misfortune'. For this purpose, in the light of the Spanish and Catalan sources of the revolution, the issue will be addressed in the work on the Ottoman history in Turkey in the unprecedented or neglected dimension.
