Peter F. Drucker, tüm dünyada modern yönetimin babası olarak bilinir. Çok sayıda kitap ve makale ile topluma ve yönetim bilimine önemli katkılarda bulunmuştur. İçinde bulunduğumuz belirsizlik ve kaos ortamında değişim ve yenilikçiliğin önemi her geçen gün daha da artmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Drucker’ın değişim ve yenilikçilik kavramına bakışı ele alınmıştır. Drucker’a göre değişim ve yenilik; etkili analiz, sistematik iyileştirme ve sıkı çalışma ile mümkün olmakta; öğretilebilir, çoğaltılabilir ve öğrenilebilir özellik taşımaktadır. Amaçlı sistematik yenilikler fırsatların analizi ile başlamaktadır. Müşteri istek, ihtiyaç ve beklentilerinin de önemli olduğu yenilik ve değişimlerin basit, odaklı, küçük olması gerekmekte; değişim liderliğini hedeflemesi önemli prensiplerinden birisini oluşturmaktadır. Ayrıca Drucker’a göre değişim ve yenilikçilik hem kavramsal hem algısaldır. Başarılı yenilikçiler, yeniliğin fırsat kaynaklarını değerlendirmekte, her iki bakış açısından da yeniliğe katkıda bulunmaktadır.
Peter F. Drucker is known worldwide as the father of modern governance. Many books and articles have made significant contributions to society and management science. The importance of change and innovation in the uncertainty and chaos that we are in is increasing every day. In this study we discussed Drucker’s concept of change and innovation. According to Drucker, change and innovation is possible through effective analysis, systematic improvement and rigorous work; it carries the skills that can be taught, reproduced and learned. Intended systematic innovations begin with the analysis of opportunities. Innovation and change must be simple, focused, small, where the customer’s desire, needs and expectations are also important; targeting change leadership is one of the important principles. In addition, according to Drucker, change and innovation are both conceptual and perceptive. Successful innovators evaluate the sources of opportunities for innovation and contribute to innovation from both perspectives.

In uncertainty and chaos environment which we live in, the importance of change and innovation is increasing day by day. In this study, Drucker's perspective of change and innovation is discussed. According to Drucker, change and innovation arise by analysis, systematic improvement and hard work; and they have teachable, reproducible and learnable characteristics. Aimed systematic innovations begin with the opportunity analysis. Innovations and changes, in which the customer demands, needs and expectations are important, should be simple, focused and small; and targeting “change leadership” is one of the most important principles of them. Also, according to Drucker, change and innovation are both conceptual and perceptual. Successful innovators evaluate the sources of opportunity for innovation, and contribute to innovation from both perspectives.
