Abstract:

The world’s population profile, which has changed along with the increase in the percentage of elderly and disabled individuals in the total population, has also brought some changes in the tourism sector. In particular, health tourism has begun to be preferred more often due to the need to continue tourism activities by continuing to live with health problems of this audience. With this increase in preferences, it is planned to establish health free areas to improve the quality of services in health tourism activities which are also more appreciated by the state. In order to present recommendations for these facilities that have not yet been installed in the work framework, a plan of health free area settlement for older and disabled tourists in Bolu is created in particular. From this draft created, recommendations were presented for practitioners to create a health-free area for elderly and disabled tourists on both the choice of place and the design of facilities.
