11 Mart 2020 tarihinde Dünya Sağlık Örgütü tarafından pandemi olarak ilan edilen Covid-19 salgını dünyada olduğu gibi ülkemizde de yeni bir düzene geçilmesine sebep olmuş ve tüm sektörler üzerinde etkisini derin bir şekilde hissettirmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, 17.03.2020-29.01.2021 dönemi için Türkiye örnekleminde Covid-19 salgınının turizm, ulaştırma ve yiyecek-içecek sektörleri üzerindeki etkisini ortaya koymaktır. Bu doğrultuda çalışmada, Türkiye’nin Covid 19 kaynaklı günlük ölüm ve vaka sayılarının Borsa İstanbul (BİST) Turizm, Ulaştırma ile Yiyecek & İçecek endeksleri üzerindeki etkisi RALS Engle ve Granger eşbütünleşme testiyle araştırılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, BİST Turizm endeksi ile vaka ve ölüm sayıları arasında uzun dönemli ilişkinin olduğu; ancak BİST Ulaştırma ve Yiyecek & İçecek endeksleriyle vaka ve ölüm sayıları arasında herhangi bir ilişkinin olmadığı bulguları elde edilmiştir. Çalışmada son olarak BİST Turizm endeksi ile vaka ve ölüm sayıları arasındaki uzun dönemli ilişkinin büyüklüğü Dinamik En Küçük Kareler tahmincisiyle araştırılmış, uzun dönemde vaka ve ölüm sayılarındaki artışın BİST Turizm endeksinin kapanış fiyatlarını negatif yönlü olarak etkilediği tespit edilmiştir.
The Covid-19 epidemic, which was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020, has caused a new system in our country as well as in the world, and has felt its influence on all sectors deeply. The aim of this study is to show the impact of Covid-19 epidemic on tourism, transport and food and beverage sectors in the example of Turkey for the period 17.03.2020-29.01.2021. According to this study, the impact of the daily deaths and cases of Turkey's Covid 19 sources on Tourism, Transport and Food & Beverage Index was studied by the RALS Engle and Granger matching test. The results of the analysis have found that there is a long-term relationship between the BIST Tourism Index and the number of cases and deaths, but there is no relationship between the BIST Transport and the Food & Beverage Index and the number of cases and deaths. In the study, the extent of the long-term relationship between the BIST Tourism Index and the number of cases and deaths was studied by the Dynamic Smallest Quarters forecast, the increase in the number of cases and deaths in the long-term has been found that the BIST Tourism Index has a negative impact on the closing prices.

The aim of this study is to put forward the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic on the tourism, transportation and food & beverage sectors for the period of 17.03.2020-29.01.2021 in Turkey sample. Accordingly, the effect of Turkey’s daily deaths and Covid-19 daily cases caused by Covid-19 on the Borsa Istanbul (BIST) Tourism, Transportation and Food & Beverage Indices has been investigated through the RALS Engle and Granger cointegration test. As a result of analysis, it has been concluded that there are long-term relationship between the BIST Tourism index and the number of cases and deaths, however, there are no relationship between BIST Transportation and BIST Food & Beverage Indices and the number of cases and deaths. In the study finally, the magnitude of the long-term relationship between the BIST Tourism index and the number of cases and deaths have been investigated through the Dynamic Least Squares estimator. It has been determined that the increase in the number of cases and deaths in the long run negatively affect the closing prices of the BIST Tourism index.
