The present investigation analyzes the advantages of the application of pictograms in the strengthening of the oral language development in children, specifically in the level of Initial Education 2 group 3-4 years, of the School of Basic Education “Alfonso Carrión Heredia”. The problem studied arises from the lack of knowledge of the use of pictograms and how they contribute to the development of teaching-learning from the first educational levels, where tools are needed to motivate the child towards the development of cognitive abilities and skills. That allows the correct oral language. Therefore, the main objective has been to determine the use of pictograms to stimulate the development of oral language in children aged 3 to 4 years. The methodology used was of a quasi-experimental type, with a cross-sectional cohort, with a qualitative approach, applying an observation sheet to all the children of the educational institution of initial level 2. As a contribution to the study, a proposal with activities, in which the use of pictograms as the main tool will facilitate the teacher’s task of improving the oral language of their students at the initial educational level, with children from 3 to 4 years old, thus contributing to the improvement of voice modulation, good articulation and proper pronunciation, motivating toddlers to express their ideas or thoughts individually, especially in those with learning difficulties.
