Abstract:

Transhumanism is a philosophical, social and political movement aimed at transcending the biological and cognitive limits of the homo sapiens species through science and technology. The main demands of the transhumanists can be classified in the form of the promise of new rights, the freedom of morphology, the freedom of reproduction, the revision of medical concepts and the adoption of the principle of precaution instead of the principle of precaution (the freedom of innovation). The concepts of human dignity, freedom and equality, which constitute the essence of the modern rule of law (the material elements), are formed within the framework of the humanist worldview. Transhumanist demands and practices driven by scientific and technological developments have the potential to transform each of these three concepts. This article discusses how human dignity, freedom and equality ideals can be influenced in the face of transhumanist demands and practices.
