XV. yüzyıl ortalarında başlayan Osmanlı tarihçiliği İstanbul’un fethinden sonra canlı bir döneme girdi ve çok sayıda eser kaleme alındı. Ancak ilk standart Osmanlı tarihleri II. Bayezid döneminde yazıldı. Bu eserlerin ortaya çıkmasında Sultan Bayezid’in özel ilgisinin olduğu kesindir. Makalemizde II. Bayezid devrinde yazılmış umumi ve hususi nitelikteki eserler üzerinde durulmuştur.

Abstract:

Ottoman historiography, which started at the midst of the fifteenth century, entered into a lively period and many works were put down on paper. But the first standard Ottoman histories were written in Sultan Bayezid II’s reign. It is certain that Sultan Bayezid II showed a particular interest for the emergence of these works. In this article, general and private works, written in the reign of Sultan Bayezid II, were examined.
