Abstract:

Abstract Civilization refers to the sum of the pecuniary and non-pecuniary products of various peoples and societies. Islamic civilization is also consisted of material and spiritual acquisitions of societies of different cultures and lifestyles who accepted Islam. The Islamic civilization with a monotheistic fundamental dynamics and which was shaped around this dynamic, was able to become universal thanks to the teaching it introduced. Islamic civilization was unique against other civilizations (Chinese, Indian, Egyptian, Greek, Persian) since it was based on revelation and based on basic reference of justice in interpersonal relations, observed the balance between the material and spiritual, exhibited a liberal and egalitarian approach and valued humans without discriminating between their religions. In the present study, the emergence of Islamic civilization in the early Islamic period was scrutinized and certain fundamental values and dynamics that emerged in Islam were discussed. In the conclusion section, a general assessment was presented.
