Ulusal ekonomilerin küresel piyasalara entegrasyonu ile birlikte ekonomik aktörler dışsal şoklara maruz kalmaktadır. Nominal döviz kurunda ortaya çıkan yüksek dalgalanmalar para ikamesine neden olarak para politikasının etkinliğini azaltmaktadır. Öte yandan düşük tasarruf haddine sahip olan gelişmekte olan ülkeler yatırımların finansmanı konusunda zorluklar yaşamaktadır. Tasarruf sahipleri ile yatırım yapmak isteyenleri bir araya getirmek finansal piyasaların görevidir. Finansal derinliğin düşük olması ve finansal araç çeşitliğinin az olması ekonomik aktörleri geleneksel finansal araçlara yönlendirmektedir. Bu nedenlerle finansal gelişme ekonomik büyümenin en temel belirleyicilerinden biri olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Türkiye ekonomisinde enflasyon hedeflemesi stratejisine geçilen 2005:Q3-2021:Q3 döneminde döviz piyasası baskı endeksinin finansal gelişme üzerindeki etkisi incelenmektedir. Yapılan ampirik test sonuçlarına göre, ele alınan dönemde ortaya çıkan küresel ekonomik krizler nedeniyle her iki değişkenin fourier alanda birim köke sahip oldukları görülmektedir. Fourier gecikmesi dağıtılmış otoregresif modele göre, döviz piyasasındaki baskının uzun dönemde finansal gelişme üzerinde herhangi bir etkisi bulunmamaktadır. Ayrıca fourier nedensellik testlerine göre, döviz piyasasındaki baskı ile finansal gelişme arasında kısa dönemde fourier alanda etkileşim bulunmamaktadır. Buna göre döviz piyasasında ortaya çıkan baskılar finansal piyasalar üzerinde kalıcı etki bırakmamaktadır.
With the integration of national economies into global markets, economic actors are exposed to external shocks. The high fluctuations in the nominal exchange rate reduce the effectiveness of the monetary policy as a result of the monetary residence. On the other hand, developing countries with a low savings rate are experiencing difficulties in financing investments. The task of the financial markets is to bring together those who want to invest with savings owners. The low financial depth and the low variety of financial instruments lead economic actors to traditional financial instruments. For this reason, financial development is one of the main indicators of economic growth. This study examines the impact of the exchange market pressure index on financial development in the 2005:Q3-2021:Q3 period, which was translated into the inflation targeting strategy in the Turkish economy. According to the results of the empirical test, due to the global economic crises that occur during the examined period, the two variables have a unit root in the fourier area. Fourier’s delay according to the distributed otoregresive model, the pressure on the exchange market has no long-term impact on financial development. Furthermore, according to fourier causality tests, there is no short-term interaction between the pressure on the exchange market and financial development in the fourier area. The pressure on the exchange market does not have a permanent impact on the financial markets.
