Bu makalede Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’de adı geçen cehennem kavramının ana hatları incelenecektir. Cehennem kavramı İslâm kültür ve medeniyetinde fazlaca içeriğe sahip olsa da genel anlamda kelime yapısı, isimleri, cehennem görevlileri, azap türü ve şekilleri ile sınırlı tutulacaktır. Makalenin yazılış amacı cehennem kavramının genel itibari ile incelenmesi ve yüce yaratıcının insanlara bir uyarı olarak Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’de tablolaştırdığı cehennem sahnelerinin daha iyi anlaşılmasını sağlamaktır. Çalışmanın önemine gelince ilahi mesajlardan ibret almayan bir toplumun hem dünyada hem ahirette saadeti yakalayamadığı, dolayısıyla vahye muhatap olan bizlerin henüz tatmadığı cehennem azabından yine onun merhametine sığınarak Allah’a karşı sorumluluk duygusunu geliştirmeyi sağlamaktır. Bu makaleyi, altı başlık olarak ele aldık. Giriş kısmında, cehennem kelimesinin hem Kur’ân’i hem dil açısından ne anlama geldiğini açıkladık. Daha sonra şu başlıkları ele aldık: Cehennem Kavramının Anlamı, Kur’ân’da Geçen Cehennem İsimleri, Cehennemin Anatomisi ve Kapsamı, Cehennem Görevlileri, Cehennem Yiyecek ve İçecekleri, Cehennemdeki Diğer Azap Türleri. Sonuç kısmına gelince cehennem kavramının Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’de geçtiği üzere insanları adeta ateşe atılmadan ateşe girme psikolojisi uyandıran uyarıcı ayetlerine karşı takınılması gereken tavır ve sonsuz alem olan ahiret hayatının dünyadaki kazanımlarımız neticesinde sonuçlanacağı ifade edilmiştir. Makalemizde kullanılan araştırma yöntemine gelince nitel araştırma yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. Çalışmamız doküman inceleme desenine göre yürütülmüş ve elde edilen veriler betimsel analize tabii tutulmuştur. Analiz sonucu ortaya çıkan bulgular sonuç kısmında rapor edilmiştir.
In this article, the main lines of the concept of hell mentioned in the Qur'an will be examined. Although the concept of hell has a lot of content in Islamic culture and civilization, it will be limited to its word structure, names, hell officials, type and forms of torment in general. The purpose of writing the article is to examine the concept of hell in general and to provide a better understanding of the hell scenes that the supreme creator portrayed in the Qur'an as a warning to people. As for the importance of the work, it is to develop a sense of responsibility towards Allah by taking refuge in his mercy from the torment of hell, where a society that does not take lessons from divine messages cannot achieve happiness both in this world and in the hereafter, and therefore we, who are subject to revelation, have not yet tasted. We have discussed this article as six headings. In the introduction, we explained what the word hell means both in terms of the Qur'an and language. Then we covered the following topics: The Meaning of the Concept of Hell, Names of Hell in the Qur'an, Anatomy and Scope of Hell, Hell's Officials, Hell Food and Drinks, Other Types of Torment in Hell. As for the conclusion part, it is stated that the attitude to be taken against the warning verses that awaken the psychology of entering the fire without being thrown into the fire, as the concept of hell is mentioned in the Qur'an, and the eternal life of the hereafter will result as a result of our achievements in the world. As for the research method used in our article, the qualitative research method was preferred. Our study was carried out according to the document analysis pattern and the data obtained were subjected to descriptive analysis. Findings resulting from the analysis are reported in the conclusion section.
