Bariatric surgery is increasingly used in morbidly obese patients to achieve significant reduction of body weight compared to diet, exercise and pharmacotherapy; and concurrent improvement in co-morbidities. Multidiciplinary approach is important in postoperative follow-up of patients who underwent bariatric surgery and not only the bariatric surgeon but also endocrinology specialist must be a member of the team and endocrin functions should be watched carrefully along the weight loss period. In this article a case with involuntary weight loss after bariatric surgery in which Graves disease is found to be the reason is reported.
