Abstract:

One of the important symbols of our literature, Necip Fazıl Shortcut (1904-1983) dedicated his life to the pen. Shortly, it is a name that knows the poetry atmosphere of his own age, with a rich ideological infrastructure and cultural equipment. The poet, who established his art life with the goal of perfectionism, needed to change some of his poems without liking it. These changes are sometimes performed in an intellectual context, while sometimes they are done for literary and aesthetic reasons. Therefore, the Shortcut, which increases the intensity of meaning in its poems, does not ignore the structure, sound and speech elements, and carries the musicality of the poem to an original point. In this study, the poet, writer, co-author, focused on the linguistic repetitions in the poems of Necip Fazıl Shortcut and the functions of these repetitions. In the article, it was given information about the repetition, which was first a statue figure, and then referred to the kinds of repetition in the poems of the Shortcut.
