Abstract:

Purpose: This study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the relationship between the maternal bond levels and social support they perceive and determining some demographic factors that affect. Tools and Methods: The study is a cutting-edge study conducted by more than 500 women who are sleeping in the Sakarya or Sakarya Education and Research Hospital Lohusa Service between January and April 2019. The data was evaluated in a computer environment, and the student T test, One Way Anova and Pearson Correlation Analysis were used for analysis. The statistical significance value was p<0.05.. findings: The age of the working group varies between 17-44 years, with an average of 27.72±6.10 years. The average score they get from the Maternal Connection Scale is 98.17±6. The average score they received from the Multi-Dimensional Detected Social Support Scale was 64.88±17.90. A weak positive relationship was found between the maternal bond levels and social support they perceive (r=0.145; p=0.001). The result: Our study found that many factors, such as socioeconomic condition, birth process, time to take a baby and concern about child care, were effective in effective maternal bonding. In addition, a meaningful relationship was established between maternal bonding and social support perceived.
