Yeni Zelanda Camii Saldırısının Türkiye ve Kuzey Kıbrıs Gazeteleri Karşılaştırmalı Leksikal Analizi

Abstract:

Şiddet ve terör olaylarının haberlerde yer bulması medyanın algı oluşturmadaki önemini vurgulamaktadır. Bütün haberlerde olduğu gibi şiddet ve terörün aktarıldığı haberlerde de medyanın olayları temsilinde çerçevelemenin (framing) önemi üzerinde durulmaktadır. Bu çalışmada 15 Mart 2019 tarihinde meydana gelen Yeni Zelanda Camii Saldırısı karşılaştırmalı leksikal analiz tekniği kullanılarak ortaya koyulmuştur. Çalışmada Kuzey Kıbrıs basınından Halkın Sesi, Kıbrıs ve Vatan gazeteleri, Türkiye basınından ise Sabah, Cumhuriyet, Yeni Şafak gazeteleri ele alınmıştır. Söz konusu gazetelerden 16 Mart 2019- 22 Mart 2019 tarihleri arasında Yeni Zelanda Camii Saldırısı anahtar sözcüğü kullanılarak 7 (yedi) gün boyunca paylaşılan haberler toplanmıştır. Haberlere yönelik içerik analizleri için Myers ve arkadaşlarının (1996) üçlü kategorisi kullanılmıştır. Üçlü kategori kapsamında haberler iç/sivil savaş, vahşilik ve etnisite kategorileri içerisinde karşılaştırmalı leksikal analizler şeklinde incelenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular üzerinden Kuzey Kıbrıs ve Türkiye gazetelerinin saldırı olayını ortaya koymada benzer ve ayrışan odak noktaları ifade edilmiştir. Bunun yanında Türkiye gazetelerinin saldırıyı temsilinde gazetelerin ideolojileri üzerinden okumalar mevcuttur. Öte yandan, Kuzey Kıbrıs gazetelerinde bu durum gözlenmemiştir. Yeni Zelanda Camii Saldırısı, Kuzey Kıbrıs basınında münferit bir olay olarak yer bulurken, Türkiye basınında geçmiş saldırılar referans gösterilerek genelleme ve İslamofobi olarak ortaya koyulmuştur.

The presence of violence and terrorist incidents in the news emphasizes the importance of the media in creating perception. As in all news, the news about violence and terror is emphasized the importance of framing in the representation of the media. In this study, the New Zealand Mosque Attack on March 15, 2019 was revealed by using comparative lexical analysis technique. Newspapers used in this study is divided into Northern Cyprus and Turkey newspapers. The newspapers in question are as follows: The Voice of the People, Cyprus, Country, Republic, Morning and New Dawn. Between the dates of March 16, 2019 and March 22, 2019, news from the newspaper in question were collected for 7 (seven) days using the keyword New Zealand Mosque Attack. Myers and et. and al. (1996) tripartite category was used for content analysis. Within the scope of the tripartite categories, the news were analyzed in the civil war, brutality and ethnicity as comparative lexical analyses. The findings out of Northern Cyprus and Turkey's newspapers decomposition focus on the event of attack have similarities but differ from expressing ideology. Besides reading the newspaper over the ideology of Turkey’s newspapers are available in the attack represented. On the other hand, this situation was not observed in the newspapers of Northern Cyprus. New Zealand Mosque Attack has been placed in North Cyprus press as an isolated incident, however in Turkey's press it has been demonstrated by doing generalization and focusing on Islamophobia by referring to the past attacks.
