This paper investigates a fractional-order FLC (FOFLC) for improving the performance of the Smart Grid. The proposed FOFLC improves the steady-state and transient performance of the solar-wind-grid integrated system. Fuzzy maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm-based DC-DC converters are used to get the most power out of solar panels. A permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) is used to extract the most power from the wind. An intelligent FOFL controller controls back-to-back voltage source converters (VSC) to optimize both power generation. This proposed methodology was implemented by optimal power converters, which improved the overall system performance to an acceptable level. The simulation results show that the proposed control method works well for a wide range of smart grid modes and non-linear fault scenarios.<
