Mathematics education aims to impart knowledge, understanding, attitudes, skills and values that will develop problem solving and critical thinking in the individual. It is necessary to determine the attitudes of students towards the math activities for the objectives of the math course to be achieved. The purpose of the current study is to determine the elementary school fourth grade students’ attitudes towards math activities. To this end, the research problem of the study was constructed as follows; “Do the elementary school fourth grade students’ attitudes towards math activities vary significantly depending on gender, the place where they are educated, mother and father’s education levels, mother and father’s jobs, the state of having taken pre-school education and math exam grade. The study employed the descriptive survey model. The study group of the current research is comprised of 170 elementary school fourth grade students attending elementary schools located in urban and rural districts in the fall term of 2017-2018 school year. As the data collection tools, a personal information form and the Math Activities Attitude Scale were used. The scale has three dimensions that are trust, interest and independence. As a result of the study, it was found that the elementary school fourth grade students’ attitudes towards math activities are high. Moreover, a significant correlation was found between the attitude towards math activities and math exam grade.
