Özet:

In Turkey, child surveillance centers, judicial consultation processors and nurses’ responsibilities: Child sexual abuse, which affects the development of the child in all aspects, is facing us as a legal, moral, psychological and sociological problem throughout the world. Although scientific studies on this issue have shown an increase since the 2000s, the actual data is estimated to be much greater than the data indicated in literature. In our country, it is necessary to deal with child sexual abuse in all dimensions and to open units that will minimize the child's aggression in this process. Before the Children’s Monitoring Centers began to operate, the victims of sexual abuse were obliged to tell different persons about the abuse they experienced every time and every time. The purpose of the child monitoring centers is that when the child is suspected of sexual abuse or the existence of sexual abuse, the child’s expression is taken by specialists in the field and all the processes related to the child are carried out at a time. First as a pilot application and then spread throughout the country in these centers, professional members such as specialized psychiatrist nurses, psychologists, social services specialists, child development specialists are subject to a specific certification program, those who succeed in theoretical and practical exams can make a judicial interview with the child. These centers serve in coordination with many institutions and organizations with a multidisciplinary team understanding. After the children’s monitoring centers entered into many provinces, more concrete data on child sexual abuse began to be obtained. In these centers the dynamics of the child and the family are evaluated together, and the necessary measures are taken according to the situation of the child's abuse. The purpose of the article is to provide information about the children’s monitoring centers in Turkey, the process of judicial consultation and the roles and responsibilities of nurses who are responsible as judicial consultants in these centers. Although scientific studies on this problem has increased since the 2000s, it is estimated that the actual data are much more than the data stated in the literature. In our country, there was a need to evaluate all the aspects of child sexual abuse and establish new units to minimize the child trauma from these processes. Before the establishment of Child Advocacy Centers, children who were victims of sexual abuse had to testify to different people about their abuse and were traumatized each time. The establishment purpose of Child Advocacy Centers is to take the child's testimony by experts in the field and perform all the procedures related to the process at once when there is a suspension or presence of sexual abuse against a child. In these centers, which started as a pilot application at first and then spread through the country professionals such as specialist psychiatric nurses, psychologists, social workers, child development professionals are subjected to a certain certificate program and those who are successful in the oretic and practical examinations can have forensic interviews with children. These centers serve with a multidisciplinary team approach and are coordinated with many institutions and organizations. More concrete data on child sexual abuse has been obtained after the establishment of these centers in many provinces. In these centers, child and family dynamics are evaluated together and necessary precautions are taken within the scope of the Child Protection Act, considering the child’s best interests according to the extent of sexual abuse experienced by the child. The aim of the article is to provide information about the Child Advocacy Centers, the process of forensic interviewing and the roles and responsibilities of the nurses who work as forensic interviewers in these centers in Turkey.
