Günümüzde artan rekabet, işletmelerin kaynaklarını daha etkin ve verimli kullanmalarını zorunlu hale getirmiştir. Böylece işletmeler performanslarını artırarak, gelecekteki riskleri de minimum edebileceklerdir. Bu çalışma, İSO 500’de faaliyet gösteren işletmelerin 2008 kriz öncesi ve sonrası etkinliğini ölçmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Etkinliği ölçmek için girdi eğilimli ve ölçeğe göre sabit getiri modeli olan Veri Zarflama Analizi kullanılmıştır. 2007 ve 2009 yılları için 15 işletme incelenmiştir. Çıktı değişkeni olarak net kar marjı; girdi değişkenleri olarak aktif devir hızı, özkaynak devir hızı, alacak devir hızı ve duran varlık devir hızı kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, kriz öncesi bir işletme etkinken, kriz sonrası iki işletme etkin bulunmuştur.
ABSTRACT In Today’s competitive and challenging markets many businesses are forced to use their resources more efficiently and productively. Thus, companies are to minimize their future risks by increasing their performance. This study aims to measure the efficiency levels of ICI 500 companies (Istanbul Chamber of Industry) before and after the 2008 global crisis. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is an input oriented and constant returns to scale model that is used to measure the efficiency. 15 companies were examined for 2007 and 2009 years. Net profit margin is used as output data whereas asset turnover, equity turnover, receivables turnover and fixed asset turnover are used as the input data. Only one company was found efficient before the crisis and two companies after the crisis.
