Abstract:

The person who is in an active or being positioned is one of the structural elements of the works of the investigation, such as the novel and the story. Some of the people in the novel's reputational world are the people who trust the author's word, and some are the people who make it possible for the fiction to reach a realistic intemption in the form of the space, time and event organization. It is also known that the people with these elements are close to the place. This proximity allows the place in the scene of the events to rise to the status of a living being and to materialize the space-human relationship. Therefore, it is necessary to interpret the place with man and the place with man and the place with man. One of the works we can evaluate in this context is Ahmet Turgut’s novel My Heart Is Remaining in Jerusalem. Jerusalem, which is preferred as the main place in the novel, is one of the rare cities that the three religions are considered sacred, while trying to be possessed throughout the history of mankind. It is extremely common for such a sacred city to be subject to the novels, while the place of Jerusalem in this novel is given to the persons that it has left under its human qualities and possessions. In fact, the author has depicted the tension atmosphere and the searches in anxiety found in the eyes of the people, and has worked together by integrating the struggle for the beliefs of the people of different religions with the conflicts that exist in their inner worlds. The writer, who contributed to the changing perception of the city's place in the historical process, also contributed to the size of reality, addressed the city with the religious identity and revealed a new city silhouette from different perspectives and materialized the people's changing perspectives of the city.
