Keçeleştirme yöntemleri kullanılarak elde edilen tekstil ürünlerinin neolitik zamanlardan itibaren bilindiğini gösteren kayıtlar mevcuttur. Dokuma yapmadan alet kullanmadan yetiştirdiği hayvanların yünlerini kullanarak ürettiği en eski tekstil yüzeyi oluşturma tekniği ve sanatı olarak bilinmektedir. Hunlara ait Pazırık kurganlarında (MÖ 400) bulunan keçeleştirme ile oluşturulmuş ürünler keşfedilmiştir. Ancak Orta Asya göçebe Türk boylarının yaşam tarzının ve biçiminin bir ögesi olarak keşfedilerek geliştirilmiş olduğu düşünülmektedir. Binlerce yıldır Türk dünyasında bilinmekte ve çeşitli amaçlara dayalı olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu tekstil sanatı Orta Asya’dan batıya yönelen Türk boyları ile birlikte Anadolu’ya oradan da Batı dünyasına taşınmıştır. Yirminci yüzyılın başlarından itibaren keçenin kullanım alanı sanayileşmenin ve teknolojinin getirmiş olduğu yeni oluşumlar ve ürünler nedeniyle daralmış hatta ortadan kalkmıştır. Keçenin günlük yaşamda kullanılmasını destekleyen tasarımların varlığı gelenekten gelen bu sanatın geleceğe taşınmasının en önemli kanıtıdır. Dünyanın pek çok yerinde keçe sanatını hayata geçirmeye çabalayan sanatçılar ve tasarımcılar sanat eserinin eşsizliğini sunarken, tasarım boyutlarının sınırlarını zorlanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada; İnsanlığın çeşitli lifleri birbirine kenetleme yöntemi kullanılarak son derece yaratıcı tasarım düşüncesi ile keşfedilen ve bazı toplumların geleneklerine dahil olmuş keçenin tekstil yüzeylerinde kullanım alanları ve giysi tasarımındaki uygulama ve yöntemleri üzerinde durulacaktır. Keçeleştirme yöntemi ile tekstil yüzeyi ve giysi tasarımı uygulamaları arasındaki ilişki ele alınırken tarihsel ve çağdaş uygulamalara yönelik bir betimleme yapılacaktır. Betimsel tarama yönteminin kullanıldığı çalışmada öncelikle keçenin tarihsel gelişimi ile ilgili literatür taranmış, keçeleştirme yöntem ve teknikleri kullanılarak farklı keçe yüzey tasarımlarına yönelik teknik ve yöntemler ile ilgili yapılan moda tasarımı uygulamalarına ilişkin yorumlar yapılmıştır.

This study will focus on the fields of use and methods in clothing design on the textile surfaces of the goat, which has been discovered with the highly creative design idea using the method of cutting the various fiber of mankind together and which has been incorporated into the traditions of some communities. When discussing the relationship between the design method and textile surface and clothing design practices, a description of historical and contemporary practices will be made. In the study using the visual scan method, first of all the literature related to the historical development of the goat was scaned, using the methods and techniques of scaning, the methods and methods related to the methods and methods of fashion design made in relation to the different goat surface designs.

Since the beginning of the twentieth century, the area of use of felt has narrowed and even disappeared due to the new formations and products brought by industrialization and technology. The existence of the designs supporting the use of felt in daily life is the most important proof of the transfer of this art from the tradition to the future. In many parts of the world, while the artists and designers struggling to bring the art of felt into action present the uniqueness of the work of art, the limits of the design dimensions are being challenged. In this study; it will be focused on the usage areas in textile surface of felt, which has been discovered with the idea of human creativity by using the method of interlocking various fibers and which is included in the traditions of some societies, and on its applications and methods in garment design. While analyzing the relationship between felting method and textile surface and garment design applications, an analysis will be made on historical and contemporary applications. In the study, in which descriptive screening method was used, the literature related to the historical development of felt was reviewed firstly and then applications regarding different felt surfaces made with different techniques and methods were examined.
