Abstract:

Orhan Veli, one of the important names that come to the forefront with the poet’s identity of Turkish literature, demonstrates his success in the style of the poem with his poems that he has noted. Orhan Veli has a total of seven stories, including free translation, one that has a non-volume but qualitative aspect of weight. The writer, bringing a new breath to the Turkish poetry with his strange flow, influences many poeters in the period and after that with his art understanding in the framework of this flow. The effect of the strange stream can also be seen in the stories of Orhan Veli. The marine passion he works in his poems, the daily life of ordinary people, nature, love, joy of life, social criticism, and Istanbul. The attitude of the ordinary person to life, instant cuts from life take its place in stories with a simple and fluent style. The stories that he took in the style of the Cehov, the stories that he found out of life, are in life and it raises the impression that he was written with an observance of walking among the people. The study revealed its contribution to the Turkish literature with its narrative identity as well as the poetry of a single and stable pen.
