Abstract:

The Covid-19 Pandemic has been one of the biggest Pandemics in the world history in terms of its effects on public health, economy and social life. The States have carried out some restrictions to protect their citizens from infectious virus. And thus, the restrictions caused negative effects on the World Economy. The States locked their borderlines, and many countries applied quarantine and curfew processes. Thats why, economies have contracted in terms of both supply and demand. In order to lessen the negative effects of Pandemia, the government implemented Fiscal Policies. In this study, after mentioning the reasons of the Pandemia and important Pandemia in the world History, the economic effects of the Covid-19 Pandemia were discussed. Especially to see what size economic support packages the countries have announced relative to their GDP in the economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 Pandemia, to analyze how fiscal policies are implemented and to compare these applications, fiscal policies implemented in Turkey and the G7 countries were discussed.
