Abstract:

Ancient Uyghur has a written tradition consisting of religious and non-religious works. When it comes to religious works, the texts related to Buddhism, Manichism and Nasturi Christianity are highlighted. On the other hand, the non-religious subjects are generally civil documents, letters and medicine, etc. It creates themes. The greatest part of religious literature belongs to Buddhism. Buddhism has become a place in ancient Uyghur literature with many echoes and many texts related to the Sanskrit Buddhist culture. Nowadays, in addition to special texts related to Buddhist Uyghur literature, there are also pieces of text that are not yet identified which text belongs to. In this post today in the Berlin Turfan Collection U 3318 (T III M 239), U 3313 (T III [M] 234 T III M 234. 501), U 3303 (T III M 219) and U 2460 (T II 581) archive numbers, which have not yet beenined, and which are related to Buddhals and Bodhisattvals, will be celebrated. The catalogue information of these fragments is included in the online catalogue prepared by the Göttingen Academy of Sciences (Akademie der Wissenschaften zu Göttingen) in the framework of the Catalogisierung der Orientalischen Handschriften in Deutschland project. The part containing the physical characteristics of the fragments discussed in this study and the characteristics related to their content was prepared by S. C. Raschmann. The purpose of this article is to present the text translation of the Old Uighur fragments mentioned above, the literary translation, the translation into Turkish, the description of the text and the analytical directory and the dictionary.
