Türkçe Derslerinde Öğretim Yöntemi Olarak Kullanılan Biyografilerin 4. ve 5. Sınıf Ders Kitaplarında Kullanımının İncelenmesi

kitaplarındaki biyografi kullanım durumunun incelenmesidir. Çalışmada Türkçe dersinin eğitim ve öğretiminde yeni yöntem ve teknikler konusunda yapılan literatürdeki araştırmalar ile daha etkili Türkçe öğretimi için kavramlardan, görsel materyallerden ve edebiyattan nasıl yararlanılabileceği üzerinde durulmaktadır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmada Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı (MEB) tarafından hazırlanan İlköğretim Türkçe 4. ve 5. sınıf ders kitapları inceleme nesnesi olarak ele alınmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda elde edilen veriler içerik analizine tabi tutularak çözümlenmiştir. Yapılan araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre 4. sınıf ders kitabında 7 biyografi 5. sınıf ders kitabında ise 21 biyografi olmak üzere toplam 28 kişinin biyografisine yer verildiği görülmüştür. Bazı ünitelerde çok bazı ünitelerde az biyografiye yer verilmiş, bazı ünitelerde ise hiç biyografi kullanılmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada 4. sınıf ders kitabında biyografisi kullanılan kişilerin tamamı erkek, 5. sınıf ders kitabında ise 29 kişiden 27’sinin erkek 2’sinin ise kadın olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın çıktılarına göre Türkçe ders kitabındaki bütün ünitelerde uygun kişiler araştırılarak biyografi kullanımında eşit dağılım yapılması ve kadın kişilerin biyografilerine daha fazla yer verilmesi önerileri sunulmuştur.

Textbooks in Turkish teaching are at the forefront of the basic resources used in education and training processes. Teaching Turkish language in the twelve-year compulsory education process is very important for individuals to communicate in the society they belong to, to shape their views and thoughts about life, and to develop positive and constructive attitudes towards nature, society and the world we live in, starting from the first grade of primary school. In recent years, the lack of knowledge and practice about the application of methods and techniques that center the student in the teaching of Turkish language in the classroom has attracted attention. The main purpose of the study is to examine the use of biography in the 4th and 5th grade Turkish textbooks in the 2022/2023 academic year. In the study, it is focused on the researches in the literature on new methods and techniques in the education and training of Turkish lessons and how concepts, visual materials and literature can be used for more effective Turkish teaching. In the research, the document review method, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. In the research, primary school Turkish 4th and 5th grade textbooks prepared by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) were used as documents. The data obtained as a result of the research were analyzed by subjecting content analysis. According to the results of the research, it was seen that there were 7 biographies in the 4th grade textbook and 21 biographies in the 5th grade textbook, a total of 28 biographies. Biography is used more in some units and less in some units. On the other hand, it was determined that no biography was used in some units. In the research, it was determined that all of the people whose biographies were used in the 4th grade textbook were male, and 27 of the 29 people in the 5th grade textbook were male and 2 were female. According to the results of the research, suitable people were searched in all units in the Turkish textbook, and suggestions were made to make an equal distribution in the use of biographies and to give more space to the biographies of women.
