Sahabenin önde gelen şahsiyetlerinden biri Übey b. Ka‘b’dır. O, Kur’ân’a olan hizmetiyle ve Hz. Peygamber’in Medine’de ilk vahiy kâtibi olmasıyla tanınmıştır. Übey, bizzat Hz. Peygamber’in (s.a.s) kendisinden Kur’ân’ı arz yoluyla almış ve onun döneminde Kur’ân’ın tamamını ezberlemiştir. Kur’ân’ı öğrenme ve ezberlemedeki ilgisi nedeniyle Hz. Peygamber’in övgüsüne mazhar olmuş ve kendisine “seyyidü’l-kurrâ” lakabı verilmiştir. Ayrıca Übey, birinci tabakada yer alan kurrâ sahabîlerden de biridir. Bu özelliği nedeniyle kıraat imamlarının çoğunun senedinde yer almıştır. Onu kıraat ilminde ön plana çıkaran bir diğer özelliği ise Übey’in kendisine ait bir mushafının bulunmasıdır. Bu çalışmada Übey b. Ka‘b’a nisbet edilen kıraat vecihleri incelenmiş ve bunların tefsirde ifade ettiği değer hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Bu okuyuşların bir kısmı aynı anlamı ifade ederek ayetin anlamında herhangi bir değişiklik oluşturmamaktadır. Diğer bir kısmı da âyetin manasını değiştirerek farklı şekilde yorumlanmasını sağlamış ve anlamına çeşitlilik kazandırmıştır. Bazı kıraatleri ise âyette geçen lafzın manasını, ibareyle ilgili yorumlamaları ve açıklamaları destekleyerek kastedilen anlamın ortaya çıkmasını sağlamış ve ayetin anlaşılmasına destek olmuştur. Ayrıca Übey’e nisbet edilen okuyuşların fıkhi yorumlarla ilişkisi ve bu yorumlar neticesinde âyete ne tür yansımaların olduğu tefsir kaynaklarından verilen örneklerle ortaya konulmuştur.
Ubay b. Qa’b is one of the leading figures of the companions. He is known with his service to the Qur'an and for being the first revelation scribe of the Prophet in Medina. Ubay received the Qur'an from the Prophet himself with face-to-face training and memorized the entire Qur'an during his time. Because of his interest in learning and memorizing the Qur'an, he was praised by the Prophet and was given the nickname "sayyidü'l-kurra". In addition, Ubay is one of the Qurra Companions in the first stratum. Due to this feature,he is included in the chain of most of the recitation imams. Another feature that makes him stand out in the science of recitation is that Ubay has his own mushaf. In addition, there are readings attributed to Ubay's mushaf in recitation transmissions. In this study, recitation aspects attributed to Ubay b. Qa'b have been examined and information has been given about the value they express in tafsir. Some of these readings express the same meaning and do not create any change in the meaning of the verse. Another part of the readings changed the meaning of the verse, provided it to be interpreted differently and added variety to its meaning. Some of his recitations, on the other hand, supported the meaning of the word in the verse, interpretations and explanations about the verse, enabling the emergence of the meaning of the verse and supporting the understanding of the verse. In addition, the relationship between the readings attributed to Ubay and the fiqh interpretations and what kind of reflections on the verse as a result of these interpretations are revealed with the examples given from the tafsir sources.
