Likit sermaye piyasaları finansal varlıkların alım-satım fiyat aralığının dar olduğu, elden çıkarılma hızının yüksek ve işlem maliyetlerinin düşük olduğu piyasaları ifade etmektedir. Sermaye piyasası yatırımcıları yatırım kararı alırken çeşitli unsurlardan etkilenirler. Bu unsurlar bazen bir yatırımcının rasyonel davranması sonucu takip etmesi gereken veriler iken, bazen çeşitli psikolojik faktörlerden oluşmaktadır. Yatırım davranışı hem rasyonel yatırımcılar için hem de irrasyonel yatırımcılar için risk algısına bağlı olarak gelişmektedir. Yatırımcıların riske olan bakış açılarının farklılık göstermesi de davranışsal bir durum olup çeşitli endekslerle ölçülebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, yatırımcıların sahip oldukları risk algılarının sermaye piyasasındaki yansıması likidite açısından araştırılmıştır. Borsa İstanbul yatırımcılarının yatırım davranışları ile sermaye piyasası likiditesi arasındaki bu ilişki Toda-Yamamoto nedensellik analizi ile araştırılmıştır. Risk iştahı RISE ile Borsa İstanbul piyasa endeksinin likiditesi ise Amihud likidite yetersizliği oranı ile ölçülmüştür. Nedensellik testinden elde edilen bulgular, risk iştahı ile piyasa likiditesi arasında tek yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisinin var olduğunu ve bu ilişkinin likiditeden risk iştahına doğru olduğunu göstermektedir.
Equity capital markets indicate markets where the purchase-selling price range of financial assets is narrow, with a high rate of withdrawal and low trading costs. Capital market investors are influenced by various elements when making investment decisions. These elements are sometimes data that an investor should follow as a result of his rational behavior, while they are sometimes made up of a variety of psychological factors. Investment behavior develops depending on the perception of risk for both rational investors and irrational investors. Investors' risk views are also a behavioral situation and can be measured by various indicators. In this study, the reflection of the risk perceptions that investors have in the capital markets has been studied in terms of liquidity. This relationship between the investment behavior of the Istanbul Stock Exchange investors and the liquidity of the capital market has been studied by the Toda-Yamamoto causal analysis. The risk appetite RISE and the liquidity of the Stock Exchange Istanbul market index are measured by the Amihud liquidity deficiency rate. The findings from the causality test show that there is a one-way causality relationship between risk appetite and market liquidity, and that this relationship is right from liquidity to risk appetite.

Investment behavior develops depending on risk perception for both rational investors and irrational investors. It is also a behavioral situation that investors' perspectives differ at risk and can be measured by various indices. In this study, the reflection of the risk perceptions of investors in the capital market has been investigated in terms of liquidity. This relationship between the investment behavior of Borsa İstanbul investors and capital market liquidity was investigated with Toda-Yamamoto causality analysis. Risk appetite was measured with the RISE and Borsa İstanbul market index liquidity with Amihud's illiquidity ratio. Findings from the causality test show that there is a unidirectional causality relationship between risk appetite and market liquidity, and this relationship is from liquidity to risk appetite.
