Abstract:

Biography is one of the important areas of history research. The foundation of these research is a person’s life, works, periods and their influence on the subsequent times. Biographical studies have also been increasing interest in recent times. Fuat Pasha is an important person of the years after the Second Legitimate and early Republic. Although his primary profession is military, he is also a military historian and important commemorative writer who has served in the foreign and last period in the Ayan Assembly. Some of the memories were published in popular history magazines, and some academic studies on their memories were also done. There is no serious and comprehensive biographical work on Fuat Pasha. In the texts written about him or mentioned about him, there are significant errors about his life, and the worst of them is that the date of birth and death is incorrectly given. This study intends to contact the main lines of his life, including the correct identification of the dates of birth and death of Izzet Fuat Pasha, and to be an entrance to the biography of Izzet Pasha to be written.
