BİYOLOJİ ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN BİREYSEL YENİLİKÇİLİK DÜZEYLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ (DİYARBAKIR İLİ ÖRNEĞİ)

Abstract:

Bu araştırmada, biyoloji öğretmenlerinin bireysel yenilikçilik düzeyleri ile kategorilerinin belirlenmesi ve bunların okul türü, cinsiyet, yaş, kıdem, eğitim düzeyi ve günlük internet kullanımı değişkenleri açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yaklaşımlarından tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Hurt, Joseph ve Cook (1977) tarafından geliştirilen ve Kılıçer ve Odabaşı (2010) tarafından Türkçe uyarlaması yapılan ‘‘Bireysel yenilikçilik ölçeği’’ kullanılmıştır. Araştırma 2015-2016 eğitim öğretim yılında Diyarbakır ili Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı devlet okullarında görev yapan 58 biyoloji öğretmeniyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde, bağımsız örneklemler t-testi, frekans, yüzde, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) gibi istatistik teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda biyoloji öğretmenlerinin bireysel yenilikçilik kategorisi bakımından çoğunluğunun “sorgulayıcı” kategorisinde olduğu bulunmuştur. Araştırmada bireysel yenilikçilik düzeyleri bakımından çoğunluğun yüksek düzeyde yenilikçi olduğu ortaya konulmuştur. Okul türü, cinsiyet, yaş, kıdem ve eğitim düzeyi değişkenlerine göre bireysel yenilikçilik puanları anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemektedir. Günlük internet kullanımı değişkenine göre ise bireysel yenilikçilik puanlarının anlamlı bir farklılık oluşturduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

In this research, it was aimed to examine the individual innovativeness levels and categories of biology teachers and to examine them in terms of school type, gender, age, seniority, education level and daily internet use variables. The survey method was used in the research in quantitative research approaches. The "Individual Innovativeness Scale" developed by Hurt, Joseph and Cook (1977) and adapted to Turkish by Kılıçer and Odabaşı (2010) was used as data collection tool in the research. The research was carried out by 58 biology teachers working in public state schools affiliated to the Ministry of Education of Diyarbakır Province in the academic year of 2015-2016. Independent samples t-test, frequency, percentage, and One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used in the data analysis as statistical techniques. As a result of the research, the majority of the biology teachers in terms of individual innovativeness categories are in the category of 'interrogator'. In the research, it was revealed that the majority of individual innovation levels are at a high level of innovation. Individual innovation scores do not show a significant difference according to school type, gender, age, seniority and level of education. According to the variable of daily internet use, individual innovation scores have reached a significant difference.
