Yirmi yıl öncesine kadar teknolojik gelişmeler günümüzdeki kadar hızlı değildi. Eğitim hayatının sonunda meslek hayatına başlayan bir kişinin yeterlilikleri, elde ettiği bilgi dağarcığı ve mesleki yeterlilikleri, meslekte emekli olana kadar geçerliydi. Son yıllarda Dijital Dönüşümle (Endüstri 4.0) birlikte, teknolojinin çok hızlı ilerlemesine bağlı olarak, çalışanlar bildiklerini sürekli güncel tutmak ve mesleki yeterliliklerini dijital uygulamalarla birlikte yenilemek zorunda kalmışlardır. Dijital dönüşümle ortaya çıkan akıllı makinelerin ve uygulamaların kullanılması istihdam kaybına neden olup işsizlik oranını artıracağından daha nitelikli bir insan gücü ihtiyacının artacağı da çok açık biçimde öngörülmektedir. Yapılan son araştırmalara göre çok büyük hızla değişen ve gelişen bu teknolojinin neticesinde yakın süreçte ortadan kalkacak mesleklerin arasında büro yönetici ve sekreterlik mesleğinin de bulunduğunu göstermektedir. Bu çalışmada alanda aktif olarak kullanılan mesleki dijital uygulamalar, yapay zekâ ve robotik sistemler vb. göz önünde bulundurularak dijital dönüşümün büro yönetici ve sekreterlik mesleğine olası etkileri değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmada yakın gelecekte bu mesleklerde aktif kalabilmenin sadece kişinin mesleki bilgilerini güncel tutmanın değil ayrıca bilgi ve iletişim teknolojileri sistemlerindeki teknolojik gelişmeleri ve uygulamaları takip etmenin gerekliliği vurgulanmıştır.
Twenty years ago, technological developments were not as fast as today. The qualifications of a person who began his professional life at the end of his educational life, the distribution of the knowledge and the professional qualifications he obtained, were valid until he retired in the profession. In recent years, along with the Digital Transformation (Industry 4.0), due to the very rapid progress of technology, employees have been forced to keep what they know constantly up-to-date and renew their professional skills along with digital applications. The use of intelligent machines and applications arising from the digital transformation is also clearly predicted that the need for more qualified human power will increase than it will cause loss of employment and increase the rate of unemployment. The latest research shows that as a result of this technology that is very rapidly changing and developing, there is also the office manager and secretary’s profession among the professions that will disappear in the near future. Professional digital applications, artificial intelligence and robotic systems, which are actively used in this field. Considering the potential effects of digital transformation on the office manager and secretary's profession, it has been evaluated. The study emphasized the need to remain active in these professions in the near future not only to keep the professional knowledge of the person up to date but also to follow the technological developments and applications in information and communication technologies systems.
