According to business, human is the most important factor in achieving competitive advantage and achieving sustainable profitability. Education has many functions like to increase the capacity of the workers, to increase their motivation, to mediate the increase of career opportunities and profits. The quality of education given in tourism faculties and vocational colleges is of great importance for the education of the labor force required in the tourism sector. The aim of this study is to find out how ready for tourism students to work in the tourism sector and to determine their perceptions of the adequacy of the education they receive in schools. For this purpose, face to face questionnaires were collected with 397 students who were easily determined by sampling method in Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, and then the collected data were analyzed with the help of statistical program. According to the research results; It has been determined that the status of completion of the internship does not affect the desire to work in the tourism sector after graduation, while the work experience in the tourism sector affects the desire to work. Whether or not there is work experience in tourism and the situation of internship does not change the view of tourism sector negatively, and it has been found that there is a weak relationship between departure preference in the university entrance and the desire to work in the post-graduate tourism sector.
